The Song of Fire and Ice saga, by George RR Martin is BY FAR the best fantasy I have read ever. I'm willing to bet others agree but if you have not read it then just stop what your doing and go get it.
The Game of Throwns
Clash of Kings
Storm of Swords
and on Nov.8th, a Feast for Crows
I highly recommend the audio versions of these books (after you plow through the 5000 pages of reading of course). They are read by a wonderful british actor who invests the hundreds of characters with fresh voices and personality. Audible.com and an IPOD or mp3 player or whatever. Good for 120 hours of entertainment.
I have read all the Drizz't books (i think) and the Liriel saga, cleric quintet, etc...R.A. Salvatore. Plus the Web of the Spider Queen Series.
Is there anything else out there that anyone recommends?
And, I have heard the Triel took out Blingenstone but I am wondering in which book that happened.
