This thread details the various power groups present within the Darkwoods District (aka the Foreign Quarter).
While the brief war which arose when the Darkwoods was opened to foreigners is over, the area is still rife with tensions between the various remaining factions. The factions which still maintain an actual presence will be detailed in posts below.
As for any factions not listed below, they no longer exist. The first to be eradicated were the beholders; not surprising, as true to their natures, they deemed everyone else an enemy and formed no alliances whatsoever.
The next to go was the small keep that was established in the name of the Arcane Brotherhood. Having the distinction of being closest to the beholder hive upon its arrival, the Brotherhood's keep was assaulted more heavily than most. Despite the fact its defenses outlasted the beholder hive, it was quick work on the part of the phaerimm to finish the job.
Zikthann of the Six Scepters has summarily given up on holding a keep of his own, and simply rents a suite for himself and his one remaining retainer at the Vengeful Weave Inn.
Of the two dozen Deep Imaskari who ventured to the city in the hopes of reaping all the knowledge and magic they could from Sshamath, only a trio remain. Much like Zikthann, these three decided to take residence at the Vengeful Weave Inn for the time being. After all, it was the human proprietor who had aided them moreso than most during the ordeal (if only for his own ulterior motives).
The five people mentioned above are detailed in the Vengeful Weave Inn thread. Any other citizens of note that reside in the Darkwoods in general are detailed in the Miscellaneous section below.
Though the Tower of the Masked Mage rests within the Darkwoods, it is detailed in its own thread.

Challenge in life is inevitable...defeat is optional.
