Thank you everyone. I decided to let the matter go. Even though when folks saw it they automatically thought it was Xull'rae.

They ignored the absence of tattoo and that her eyes were light green instead of amber, people saw the hair.

The hair was a general length to Xull's in a common hairstyle she uses. The hair is red or orange in some pics, but the kicker is the white streak and it's on the SAME side as Xull's too. THAT streak is why I was upset. Copper color hair on a drow is extremely rare to begin with that is stated by DnD which this artist clams to be a nut of. But the streak....the streak was my OWN addition. In DnD there are only two known drow with copper hair, TWO.

No where did it state in their books that drow could have two hair colors. I added the streak for two reasons.
1. It is a birthmark that I wanted to have stand out. It is a mark of her psionic abilities that HARDLY ANYONE knows about. Most drow think it's a defect when I RP.

2. The color was chosen white because it is the common drow hair color and I wanted a contrast of the natural white with the natural red, so when Xull walks around she's gonna gather stares. Her hair design coupled with her uncommon eye color was deliberate on my part to make her stand out like a sore thumb or a becon compared to a normal red eyed white hair drow.

Drow usually use Darkvision, this means they see no color just black and white. Again looking at Xull'rae would gather notice that something is wrong with her hair, not only for its shade, but that streak is gonna help other drow notice something is off.

It didn't help matters that I knew Xull'rae was a DnD based character, but what triggered my irritation is that the artist looks like she copied the most unique feature off of my character, my irritation grew when I saw her reply to someone that she is planning to submit writings to Wizards of the Coast. She didn't specify what, but you could imagine my panic in the thought that this person might turn in their red headed white streak drow and WoTC would love the idea. Then where would I be?

My apologies on the rant. Seeing her pics raised my fears and jammed my panic button, but I was told time and again there is nothing I can do. So I sit back and pray.

But if one day you see a red heded drow woman with a white streak in her hair in a novel and her name ISN'T Xull'rae, I just hope some out there will know the truth of who came first.
